And so our journey ends, no history lesson with this one folks, I know that you are all very disappointed to hear this news.
The time has come for us to head home and as we do we will reflect on what this last year of travelling this great land of ours has meant to us. We have had the most amazing journey, seen and been to the most amazing places and met such lovely people, some of them have become our friends, we’ve also caught up with some much loved and missed friends. We have been asked by many people which has been our favourite and most memorable place and we honestly can’t answer that question as we loved it all and don’t compare places. This country is so diverse from the outback to the ocean to the ranges, each place is beautiful and unique and holds its own charm, beauty, history and culture, you just need to look at each place with open eyes and no judgement. We have missed so many places as one can’t see this whole land of ours in one year and we don’t think that you could truly see it all in a whole life time. We have chosen the poem “My country by Dorothea MacKellar” to end our trip as it is the one that best describes how we feel and best describes Australia. The photo in the background of the poem is not one from the internet and is one of my own photos taken somewhere along the line so I will take credit for that one HAHA. We look forward to going home and seeing our much missed and loved family and friends. We will take time to reflect and plan our next trip. So for now until the next trip we say “HOOROO” and Thank you for being with us along the way.
We absolutely loved reading about your adventures. We’re so happy that you are home safely (just a few more km). Thank you for sharing all your wonderful stories with us. Wish we were in Perth to welcome you home xxxxx
